Barrett (British Columbia), A.B. Bosworth (Western Australia), K. Raaflaub (Brown
University), P.J. Rhodes (Durham), R. Rollinger (Innsbruck), C. Thomas (University
of Washington).
AHB is currently edited by P. Briant

Marymount),
and P.V. Wheatley (Queensland). Editorial Assistant:

AHB promotes scholarly discussion in Ancient History and ancillary fields (such
as epigraphy, papyrology, numismatics) by publishing articles and notes on any
aspect of the ancient world from the Near East to Late Antiquity in the following
languages of publication: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish. AHB
strives to achieve speedy publication. Double-issues appear twice yearly (1-2;
3-4). See Contents of
Volume 17, Volume 16 (2002),
Volume 15 (2001),
Volume 14 (2000) and
Volume 13 (1999).
AHB adheres to the usual North American editorial policies in the submission
and acceptance of articles but imposes no House Style. Authors are, however,
asked to use the abbreviations of L'Année philologique (APh) for journals,
and of the Thesaurus linguae latinae (TLL) for Latin authors. Please send submissions
to the editor most closely identified with your field of enquiry or, in case
of doubt, to Waldemar Heckel. Electronic submission of articles is highly desirable.
Submission in 'hard-copy' should be accompanied by a diskette if at all possible.
Direct electronic submission is strongly encouraged - using the 'attachment'
feature of common e-mail utilities. Texts generated on an Apple (MacIntosh
etc.) computer should be saved in 'Rich Text Format' (filename.rtf) before attaching.
Please do not 'binhex' your article. Authors receive 15 offprints of their contributions
free of charge; additional offprints may be purchased in multiples of 10 at
a modest cost. Copyright is retained by the author. Books for review and enquiries
concerning book reviews should be directed to L.A. Tritle.
